ReadAloud Text Grabber

One-tap extraction of article text from any page — including paywalled content you're already reading.

What It Does

When you tap this bookmarklet on any webpage, it strips away navigation, popups, ads, and scripts, extracts the clean article text, and opens the Android share sheet so you can send it straight to ReadAloud Player for conversion to audio.

How to Install

1 Bookmark this page first. Tap the star icon or use "Add to Bookmarks" in your browser menu. Name it anything — we'll change it next.

2 Edit the bookmark you just saved. Go to your Bookmarks list, long-press on it, and choose "Edit."

3 Replace the URL with the code below. Select everything in the URL field, delete it, then paste this entire block:

4 Rename the bookmark to something short like "📖 Grab Text" or "RA Grab"

5 Save. You're done. Now whenever you're reading an article, open your bookmarks and tap "Grab Text" — the share sheet opens with the full article text ready to send to ReadAloud Player.

How to Use

  1. Open any article in your browser (works on paywalled content you're logged into)
  2. Tap the bookmarks menu and choose "Grab Text"
  3. The share sheet opens — choose ReadAloud Player
  4. The text gets uploaded to your queue and converted to audio automatically
Why this works for paywalled content: The bookmarklet runs inside YOUR browser session, which already has access to the full page. It reads the text directly from what's loaded on your screen — no separate fetch, no login needed.
